Sega, the company as a whole, is a legend itself!  Fond memories of growing up with Sonic as one of my all time favourite idols!  Now Sega are bigger than ever even though they currently don’t have an active console under their belt, since the dreamcast discontinuation!  But they have branched out significantly into the arcade machine market which has still kept them going!  Sega make great arcade games, they also make great games and are probably one of the biggest publishers out there in the games industry!  But something is happening!  So far in 2008 we have had an insane burst of games coming from Sega!  Before and after Christmas Sega games have been flooding the shop shelf’s spreading to a massive audience of gamers! 

Sales soared during the Christmas period as we saw Mario & Sonic at the Olympics!  A first time event in history where the massive franchise icon from Sega ( Sonic ) joined with the lovely Mario! Not to mention the mass selection of characters this brought into the game!  Mario & Sonic at the Olympics was easily one of the best selling games of this year so far.  Many shops found themselves low on stock if not sold out!  It had massive demands in the UK region and for a brief while was so hard to grab yourself a copy!  But this isn’t the only achievement Sega have accomplished Massive titles have soared through the release bay these past few weeks, Condemned 2 : Bloodshot, Viking and Universe at War are just some of the biggest releases so far! 

But how busy have Sega really been!  We have managed to compile a complete list of the released games since 2008!

Were only a 1/3 into the year and Sega have already published a colossal amount of games!  A lot of them pretty decent games to be fair!  It’s nice to see their not just targeting the younger audiences!  The Club & Condemned for example should only be played by adults!  Whereas the whole family and kids can chill out on Superstars Tennis!  But it doesn’t stop there!  Sega have some big plans and some even bigger titles coming out very soon! 

In the works for this year you have the Incredible Hulk game as well as the Iron man game!  We have read previews and these games aren’t just going to be your usual bad licensed movie games!  A lot of effort and time has been put into both these titles to make them aspire from previous movie failures!  Sonic Unleashed has also just been revealed!  Also sequels to the Nights game and a Golden Axe game will be coming out in the near future!  So keep your eye out on Sega as during this year I believe were going to see some great things come from them!
