June "Lyn" Park awaits his challenger in the Overall Final after trashing his opponents in the Finals playoff today.
The
21-year-old set off on a campaign in the semi-final against the ESWC
2006 champion Jae Wook "Lucifer" Noh. The latter advanced to the
playoffs after eliminating Lars "Protois" Reichelt with a clean sheet
in the playoffs relegation. However, he was left frustrated in the
lower bracket after losing to Lyn in less than 20 minutes. Lyn's
aggressive Blade Master seemed to be too much for the Fallen Angel to
handle.
The Extreme Masters Global Challenge's title holder later saw his group stage contender Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen in the winner bracket final. The flying Dutchman disposed of Yoan "ToD" Merlo, who dominated his group without losing a single map, with a score of 2-0. Notwithstanding earning a shot to get his revenge for his loss in group stage, Grubby failed in delivering much trouble to Lyn in both games.
He handed Lyn a berth in the Overall Final while he has to pit himself against ToD again in the lower bracket final. The match of Grubby versus ToD due to start around the same time as ToD versus HoT in the lower bracket final of SEC. Lyn will be hunting for his second event title at 11:45 am.
