Pussy mmmmmmm.. .. .. First though this better taste sweet!

But to be honest I’m a bit on the fence about trying a drink I’ve never heard of called Pussy, because you know this could go one of 2 ways either its going to be really good, something you can’t get enough of or its going to be something that makes you scream why god why did you let me do this why????

But I suppose I should just get on with the review!

Well lets start with the name Pussy clearly the guys here have gone for a bit of a shock tactic I guess, after all Pussy is the last thing I’d expect a drink to be called and it did take me a bit by surprise when I got asked to review it.

Looking at the sleek white/silver with a touch of pink can I can’t help but think this is a girl’s drink.
I know they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover but right now if I was going to buy an energy drink and there was a nice big can of Rockstar next to Pussy I know which one I’d pick up! But anyway lets get past that after all looks aren’t everything it’s what’s on the inside that counts, never thought I’d say that and mean it.

So the good stuff in this can is Guarana, Siberian Ginseng, Milk Thistle, Gingko Bilboba, Schizandra and Sarsaparilla.  Now none of that stuff means anything to me so saying it’s the good stuff could well be a lie but it is what makes this drink a little different, because pussy has 100% natural ingredients, and that alone will probably help shift a few tins.

What’s it taste like?

Mmmmmm it’s good no, no wait its Beeeaautiful a lot better than expected.  It’s got a low amount of carbonation in it which means given the how do I describe it? Clean, sweet taste of the drink, you can take your time to appreciate the flavour, not one you power down as quick as you can, although less bubbles would mean if you need to get a kick fast this would be an easier approach compared to say the Pac Man of energy drinks Red Bull. The flavour being grape and lime juice never seems over powering, and I found tastes a little different each time.

As with most energy drinks Pussy definitely taste better the further you get in but unlike a big percentage of those energy drinks doesn’t leave you wanting another drink to get rid of the after taste.
Given the low amount of carbonation in the drink and its clean taste I also think this would mix well into various cocktails (at the time of writing I haven’t had chance to try out this theory but I will shortly).

Next that all important energy kick, what’s it like?

Effective, shortly after finishing the can I’d say I felt more alert it’s not to strong nor is it too weak, something that won’t leave you crashing to the ground when the effects wear off.

Would I recommend Pussy over Say Rockstar and Red bull?  Hell Yes!! The only downside to this Drink is one 250ml can doesn’t seem enough, I’m left wanting more. But that’s what the big cheese at Pussy drinks would want, so with that I tip my hat to you because if I could crack open another Pussy now I would, even if it cost me another £2.
