Introduction

Now Logitech are popular with their gaming gear on the market with some very strong joysticks, keyboards and gaming mice.  The G11 Keyboard is just an addition to their massive array.  It’s by far one of the nicest keyboards I’ve had the pleasure of typing & gaming with.  But does it really have what it takes to be a gamer’s best friend especially in his time of need?  Let’s see.

The G11 Logitech Keyboard is a Toned down version of the larger G-15 version which features a built in LCD screen.   However nothing is lost the G-11 is still a strong keyboard.  With some great abilities under its belt its great value for money.  It’s larger than most other keyboards this is down to the 18G programmable keys which Logitech have kindly given us.  Now that is probably one of its greatest features.  Each “G” key can be customized by yourself to do whatever you want to.  It helps when playing online games in which you need to quickly change your setup or weapon load out.  Very useful when playing games like world of warcraft.

What else have we got here?  Well we have some lovely audio controls, you can easily navigate your Mp3 player in the background with its audio controls.  You can play, stop ,rewind and fast forward all of your audio in real-time.  Also it has a spinning volume control which is pure luxury.  Other than that you can mute it all together.   You also have the 104 standard keys all easy to access with a very comfortable hand rest.  Which makes using this keyboard a breeze.  It’s very easy on the arms so I’m actually enjoying writing this review with the keyboard itself!

The keyboard is a mixture of a lush matte black with some grey overtones to it.  But one brilliant feature is the backlight keys.  The keyboard has an aura of blue light coming of it which looks immense especially in darkness.  It’s pure luxury and it’s ideal for any PC enthusiast to get especially for their first gaming keyboard.

The drivers are simple to install.  You can also connect your mouse to the back of the keyboard itself by using one of the two USB slots.  However the usb slots featured on the keyboard are not USB .2.  When it comes to general use with typing word documents and general chatting it works quite well.  The only annoyance I find is I seem to be hitting the “G1” key instead of the “ESC” key which can be a pain!

The G-11 is a fantastic keyboard and is a great start for any PC gamers.  The only downside to it is its sheer size.  But it makes up for that for being one of the nicest looking keyboards on the market.  In the night it glows and I can’t help but watch it shine.  You can grab this piece of kit for as little as £38 right over at Y0 Y0 Tech which is quite cheap for most gaming keyboards.

Finally thanks to the guys from YoYo Tech for giving us this piece of kit for us to review.  Check out their other products.  They have some great stuff on sale!
